Working at Serapong Hill
I just realised i haven't been updating recently.. hmm my recurring lazy streak? But I'm tired! haha.. My friend introduced me to an interesting job last week! It's some archaeological works at Sentosa at Serapong Hill. Here are some pics....
me hard at w0Rk!
artefacts in the artefacts' room
de hoe and quan hui clearing the cartridge room
me covering the midden with plastic cover
I worked in this underground room that was previously the command centre for the British in the 1940s. It's 4 storeys underground! There are a few ways to get into the rooms; the fire escape (a 17m ladder), climbing in through a passageway then through a room with walls that may collapse anytime, I dunno any more.. The passageways are extremely dark! The kind u cant even see 1m ahead. I had a hard time going in when I was exploring the place with ts, zm, qh and J. It was an incredible experience! Climbing out of the room by the 17m ladder was interesting, but tiring.. and HOPEFULLY I will have less butterflies and flutterbys after this.. haha.. After lunch, I went back into the command centre to pick out artefacts with Aihua- jie. AND I found an old British coin that dates back to 1940! The coin's sorta square with round corners. Found a burnt candle stand that's still intact. The conditions in the command room ws apparently suitable for the artefacts because some of the glass pieces are still shiny! They look so nice... a bit like crystals. The boss too found some monopoly pieces.. haha..
I watched Pirates of the Carribean with AL today. The crazy (it's true!) girl wanted to watch it a 2nd time in the cinema.. haha.. But I'm glad she did watch it a 2nd time with me. Anywyay, AL was waiting for me to jump... lol... The show's really funny esp at the aborginies part! haha.. I was laughing my head off in the cinema along with so many others.. It was rather draggy towards the end though.. But i really really like the song that was played when Elizabeth was fighting with the pirates at the port...!
