Recount of 2007
Time flies and 2007 will soon be over in a few hours' time. The 21 birthday, the long awaited freedom, new responsibilities...
2007...
**Made a new passport after I couldn't find it the night before my trip to China in Dec 2006.
**My mum allowed me to go Malaysia by myself (or rather with friends/without her) for the first time. I went to a Kelong with the Singapore Archaeological Team! I also experienced one of the worst seasick-ness I ever had. Although my friends were around me, trying to make me feel better by pressing certain points on my hand n face, I continued to feel faint and sick, wishing that we would arrive at our destination asap. I practically had to crawl up the ladder when we arrived at our destination. Thankfully the return trip was so much better and I didnt feel sick.
**This year, I spent one of the most memorable birthdays in my life. My besties Q & A 'tricked' me and P into going to Malaysia, in which I had thought we were just going shopping or to walk around. When we finally crossed the customs, P and me were blindfolded and led around in circles. When our blindfolds were removed, we found ourselves in a photo studio! For our 21, P and me received a nice photo album and a fabul-icious experience!
**Next comes the long awaited trip to Germany for exchange, I spent a short 4 months in Stuttgart and travelled quite alot. In chronological order, I went to Germany, Italy, France, Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic and Hungary. A pity I couldn't visit more places, nevertheless, I had a few "Best Trips"! An account of my trip to Budapest (Due to time constraints, I didn't blog about this trip.
Zsofia and me!
Fisherman's Wharf (looks like a huge sand castle right!)
Zsofia's fried noodles which looks totally n convincingly like our Char Kway Teow
Jewish Synagogue
Hero Square
Zsofia preparing food!
I wonder why escalators are built so tall.. it's quite scary yea..
**My worst bout of eczema in 7 years.. eczema got so bad I burst out crying in a coffee shop uncontrollably .. opps.. It only recovered after I got a jab from the doctor at my butt.
**Finally visited my dad in China after 5 years of refusal to visit China. Enjoyed life quite a bit albeit being sick due to stomach indigestion and rashes at my belly button. I also had the most expensive breakfast in my entire life. S$200++, consisting of bird nest and dim sum in a 5 star restaurant. No I'm not that rich, but rather all food expenditures in Zhong Shan and Dong Guan are not on my account :P Didn't get to experience much of the ugly side of Chinese nationals thanks for having a chauffeur driving us around! Travelling took alot faster too.. except when there are traffic jams caused by accidents (which is a common sight in China. There was once we were stuck on hu3 men2 da4 qiao2 (tiger door big bridge) for 2-3 hours because of road renovations. The other side of the road was surprisingly just as badly jammed because there was a multiple collision of 6 cars. During the China trip, I visited dad's haus (Dong Guan), Zhong Shan (Sun Zhong Shan's hometown), Macau (Casinos and St. Paul's Church), Pan Long Xia Gu (Pan Long Valley) and Shen Zhen. Most of the photos are still with mum and her friend (Yu Ting).
