What was I doing the past 2 weeks?

My assignment for English Lit. but it's strangely in German. Can you imagine learning Chinese Lit in English? Not me!

University of Stuttgart/American Studies

Introduction to Literary Studies (G 1), Summer Term 2007

Holtkamp, Schubert, Riesch

Bibliographische Übung

(Abgabe im Tutorium am 09./10. Mai 2007)

Aufgaben 2-4: Works Cited–Muster

Aufgaben 5-8: Fußnoten–Muster

Bitte geben Sie eine gedruckte Version ab (keine handschriftliche).

1. Nennen Sie fünf Fachzeitschriften, die für die Abteilung Amerikanistik und Neuere Englische Literatur (nicht Linguistik) von Interesse sind. Wo in Stuttgart finden Sie solche Zeitschriften?

2. Sie wollen sich über einen Schriftsteller informieren. Wo schlagen Sie nach? Nennen Sie drei literaturwissenschaftliche Werke.

With my horrible German, I initially thought I was supposed to re-write the Work Cited List into Footnotes form for question 8. Thankfully not. There were 59!! footnotes!! OMG luckily I clarified with my tutor. Haha. However, that means that I just wasted ALOT of time on a single assignment.

The 2nd day after I got back from Venice, I made Laura's cousin who stayed over in Stuttgart to watch the Beyonce concert climb out of the house through the window in the room Kanna used to occupy (that's in the 2nd floor). Because I came back the day before and found the door locked from the outside. And that means that if someone inside doesn't have a key to the front door when it's locked, he can't get out. So I locked the door the next day, thinking that there was no one left in the house. Haha. That was the day he (cousin) was going back home. My farewell present for him lol.

This week, I lost a notebook. I walked from the IB (Institues library) to the mensa, ate lunch and went back to the library. Decided to use the internet in the UB (university library) which was on the way. Left the UB around 20 minutes after I left the mensa and walked back to the IB. Something felt different when I was in the lift.
Lo and behold, my notebook was gone! I retraced my steps all the way back to the mensa, but still couldn't find the notebook. It seemed to have mysteriously vanished into thin air. Still bewildered.

And yesterday, I went to Strasbourg (France). Quite a nice place, nicer than Paris (*whispers* it's not as romantic as everyone thinks it is). Opps.. oh well.. at least it was to me. Only a day trip.. Photos will be up as soon as I stop feeling too lazy to upload them. :)

On the way to Milan, this is somewhere in Switzerland. It's damn nice. We shouldn't have chosen to take the night train last year!

Cathedral in Milan. The bottom part was under renovation and I wanted to avoid that. Looks like a castle in the sky like this yea?
